I use the Mary berry recepie

Ingredients-

450g of self raising flower

2 level tbs of baking powder

50g of caster sugar

100g softened butter

2 eggs

a little milk

sultanas

preheat the oven to 180C and lightly grease two baking trays

Put the flower, baking powder and sugar in a large bowl and rub in with your fingertips until like breadcrumbs

crack the eggs into a measuring jug and add milk till the total liquid 300ml. stir the egg into the flower to make a soft slightly sticky dough

put dough on a lightly flowered surface and mix in the sultanas.
